Looking Back

Life comes at us so fast. It is impossible to prepare. Comfort is found in the passing of time and the distance it affords us from things witch we fear have been forgotten. A picture so innocent unlocking parts of our lives that escape us. Simple childhood artifacts deleted filling spaces between what can be seen now as unmistakeably important given the maturation of our perspective. I don't remember the Big Wheel, action figures or the sweetness of holiday candy. In retrospect our pictures unlock the camaraderie of protective brothers, proud fathers, the relentless love of our mothers. Distracted by adolescence our priorities malign devoid of consequence and only captured in a rare thoughtful picture is the sun burning the ocean as the sunset sets out to sea.

Thank you for the memories mom and Happy Birthday Brother. Don't get so old that you forget the kid clutched affectionately in that headlock so long ago.

Love, Jay

You have a birthday coming up too Jared. Time sure does fly by. As a kid we think not fast enough. I will always love you guys and still think of you as an extension of my family. As I just had my
7th child last month and my oldest is now moving out on her own sure makes me treasure every moment. Its a same we lost touch as it would have been great to have shared my children with you all as it is just my husband and I in San Antonio.
Its good to see you doing so well in AZ.

God bless,

Shawn
